Terms and Conditions

1. Sponsor

The “Kromnigon StreptaClick® HRP Heat-Free TSA Grant 2026” (hereinafter, the “Program”) is sponsored by Kromnigon AB, Sweden (“Sponsor”).

2. Binding Agreement

By entering this Program, applicants (“Applicant(s)” or “You”) agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. Entries submitted on behalf of an institution, company, or other entity must be authorized by the respective organization where such authorization is required.

Any violation of these Terms and Conditions may result in disqualification at the discretion of the Sponsor.

3. Program Period

The Program begins at 01:00 PM CET on September 28, 2026 and ends at 06:00 PM CET on October 15, 2026 (“Program Period”).

The names and affiliations of the selected applicants, together with their project titles, may be announced by Kromnigon through a press release, its website, social media channels, and/or other communications on or after October 30, 2026, subject to Section 10 below.

The Sponsor reserves the right to extend or otherwise modify the Program Period if necessary due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to technical disruptions, regulatory requirements, or circumstances outside the Sponsor’s reasonable control.

4. Eligibility

The Program is open to:

  • Research institutions, whether private or academic, healthcare organizations (HCOs), and pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies conducting life sciences research.
  • Applicants located in, or conducting substantial business within, the USA, Canada, EU countries, Switzerland, Norway, UK, Singapore, China, Taiwan, Australia, Korea, Japan, India, or Israel.
  • Applicants whose proposed research is suitable for the use of StreptaClick® HRP heat-free TSA technology for multiplex immunohistochemistry (IHC).
  • Lead applicants with relevant scientific experience who are affiliated with a qualifying institution or organization.

Employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives, and independent contractors of Kromnigon AB, together with their immediate family members and members of the same household, whether related or not, are not eligible to participate.

Applicants are responsible for ensuring that participation in the Program and acceptance of any prize comply with their institution’s policies and all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical requirements.

5. How to Enter

No previous, new or future purchase is necessary to enter or win.

Applicants must:

  • Submit a completed application form through the designated online portal or via email to support@kromnigon.com.
  • Include a research proposal (1-2 A4, PDF format) describing the proposed study and how StreptaClick® HRP heat-free TSA technology will be used.
  • Specify the intended multiplex IHC application, tissue or sample type, relevant biomarkers, and proposed experimental objectives as requested in the application.
  • Specify the imaging equipment to be used, or alternatively clearly request assistance with access to a microscope or scanner equipped with Kromnigon SpectraSplit optical filter sets.
  • Provide institutional authorization where required.
  • Ensure that all information provided is accurate and complete at the time of submission.

Only one (1) entry per lead applicant is permitted unless otherwise stated by the Sponsor. Incomplete or duplicate applications may be disqualified.

The Sponsor reserves the right to request additional information from applicants where reasonably necessary to evaluate an application.

6. Selection of Prize Recipients

Eligible applications will be reviewed by a panel of scientific experts appointed by Kromnigon.

Applications will be evaluated based on factors including:

  • Scientific relevance and potential impact of the proposed study.
  • Feasibility and innovation of the research proposal.
  • Suitability of the proposed study for multiplex IHC using StreptaClick® HRP heat-free TSA technology.
  • Experience with immunohistochemistry, multiplex imaging, spatial biology, or related techniques.
  • Compatibility of the proposed biomarkers and experimental design with the StreptaClick® HRP workflow. Projects within the scope of Tumor Microenvironment or Neuroimmunology research on human or mouse FFPE or frozen samples will be prioritized.
  • Potential to demonstrate or expand applications of heat-free TSA-based multiplex IHC.
  • Potential for future scientific collaboration and development.

Following evaluation, the Sponsor intends to select one (1) winner and two (2) runners-up.

Selected applicants will be contacted by email and must confirm acceptance of the prize within 14 calendar days of notification. Failure to respond within this period may result in forfeiture of the prize, in which case the Sponsor may select an alternate recipient.

7. Prizes

Winner

The one (1) winner will receive:

  • One (1) 67B8181-1 StreptaClick® HRP Complete 7-color TSA IHC kit (500 reactions), suitable for 500 singleplex, manually stained, reactions; and
  • Aliquots of up to six (6) biotinylated primary antibodies to stain 20 slides for use in the awarded project.

Runners-up

Each of the two (2) runners-up will receive:

  • One (1) 64B8181-1 StreptaClick® HRP Complete 4-color TSA IHC Kit, suitable for 250 reactions; and
  • Aliquots of three (3) biotinylated primary antibodies to stain 10 slides for use in the awarded project.

The specific biotinylated primary antibodies supplied to each recipient will be determined in consultation with Kromnigon based on the proposed project, antibody availability, technical compatibility, and other relevant considerations.

Prizes are non-transferable, may not be exchanged for cash or other products, and are intended solely for the research project described in the selected application unless otherwise agreed in writing by Kromnigon.

Prize recipients must initiate use of the awarded products by December 31, 2026, unless otherwise agreed in writing with the Sponsor. If a recipient is unable to utilize the prize within the specified period, the recipient must inform Kromnigon as soon as reasonably possible.

8. Taxes, Customs and Duties

Any taxes, customs duties, import charges, institutional fees, or other costs associated with receiving or using the prize that are not expressly stated as being covered by the Sponsor are the responsibility of the prize recipient or their institution.

Recipients are advised to consult their institution’s financial, legal, procurement, or compliance department regarding any applicable tax, customs, or institutional requirements.

9. Confidentiality

Non-public information submitted by applicants will be handled with appropriate confidentiality and used primarily for evaluating applications, administering the Program, communicating with applicants, and fulfilling awarded projects.

Kromnigon will not publicly disclose proprietary or confidential research details contained in an application without the applicant’s prior consent, except where disclosure is required by law or where the relevant information has otherwise become publicly available.

Applicants should clearly identify information in their applications that they consider confidential or proprietary.

10. Intellectual Property and Publicity

Submission of an application does not transfer ownership of an applicant’s pre-existing intellectual property, research data, inventions, results, or findings to Kromnigon.

By accepting a prize, recipients agree that Kromnigon may use their name, institution or organization, project title, and a non-confidential project summary in communications relating to the Program, including on Kromnigon’s website, social media channels, press releases, newsletters, and other promotional materials, subject to applicable law and institutional requirements.

Any use or disclosure of unpublished research results, confidential information, images, data, or other project-specific materials beyond the above will be subject to separate agreement or approval where appropriate.

Publications, posters, presentations, or other scientific communications resulting from research substantially supported by the Program should acknowledge Kromnigon and the use of StreptaClick® HRP heat-free TSA technology, where appropriate and consistent with applicable journal, conference, and institutional policies.

Prize recipients are encouraged to discuss opportunities with Kromnigon for scientific communication, application notes, conference presentations, publications, or other collaborations resulting from the awarded research.

11. Liability Limitations

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Sponsor shall not be responsible for technical failures, interrupted or unavailable systems, lost or delayed submissions, incorrect contact information, or other circumstances outside the Sponsor’s reasonable control that affect participation in the Program.

The Program is void where prohibited by applicable law.

Recipients are responsible for ensuring that the awarded products are used by appropriately qualified personnel and in accordance with applicable product documentation, laboratory procedures, institutional requirements, laws, regulations, and ethical approvals.

Research outcomes may depend on numerous experimental and biological factors, including sample characteristics, tissue preparation, antibody performance, biomarker abundance, experimental design, and other conditions outside Kromnigon’s control. Accordingly, the award of products under the Program does not constitute a guarantee of any particular experimental or research outcome.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.

12. General Conditions

Kromnigon reserves the right to modify, suspend, postpone, or terminate the Program where reasonably necessary, including in response to circumstances outside its reasonable control or applicable legal or regulatory requirements.

The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify an applicant or revoke an award where the applicant is found to have provided materially false or misleading information, misrepresented the proposed research, failed to comply with these Terms and Conditions, or violated applicable ethical, legal, or institutional requirements.

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
